SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos II Theos, 261-246 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 16.53 g, 4 h), Antiochia on the Orontes. Diademed head of Antiochos II to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΑΝΤΙΟΧΟΥ Apollo seated left on omphalos, holding arrow in his right hand and resting his left on grounded bow; to left, monogram; to right, Δ[Ι]. SC 571.1. A beautifully toned piece of excellent style. Light cleaning scratches, otherwise, good very fine.

From an old Swiss collection, formed in the 1970s and privately purchased from Münzen & Medaillen (with original ticket).
